Team Positions
The Defiant Movement is a magazine created by-youth, for-youth. We welcome staff applications from Gen Z voices around the globe; the magazine is a platform through which we amplify young voices unapologetically.
By joining Defiant, you will be welcomed by a respective managing editor who will work with you to publish your writing, communicate with regarding deadlines, and start building your online portfolio. Staff deadlines occur twice a month, on every other Sunday; these deadlines are flexible and there is always consideration of our contributors’ other commitments - be it school, community activism, or personal obligations.
All positions/submissions at The Defiant Movement are passion-driven; monetary compensation will not be offered.
Featured Content Submissions
Want to have your article or poetry published on Defiant? Fill out the form below to submit your writing or email us your work through submissions@thedefiantmovement.org with ‘featured content submission’ in the subject line. We read all your submissions, but will reach out to you within a 2-week period if your work will be published.
If you do not receive an email from us, don’t be discouraged! You can submit multiple pieces for our consideration.
